The tenacious terrier! At Spike we love our strong willed terrier friends, and we especially love putting them in their breed trims! Whether you prefer your dog to be in an easier pet version of the breed trim, a shave down, an asian fusion, or looking like they just walked out of the show ring - we are happy to help! Terriers need special consideration when handling, the old wisdom is that terriers "need a firm hand". At Spike Dog Grooming we prefer a fairness over firmness and will treat your terrier as the individual they are while being a fair leader to them in the salon. All terriers get a double shampoo, first with a deep cleaning pre-wash, then with a coat crisping texture shampoo, followed with a skin moisturizing conditioner and de-tangling conditioner on their furnishings. Although we do not hand strip, all terriers are lightly carded at the end of the groom to help preserve coat texture
